48 Ontario Street
2019 freelance commission with K. Lee, J. Phan
48 Ontario was built in 1910 by Bell Telephone Company. The building is a cultural landmark in Kitchener, known both as the Legion Building given its role from 1944 to 2001 as home to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 50, and the “birthplace of Kitchener blues” as a result of the blues concerts hosted by Kitchener impresario Glenn Smith throughout the 1980s.
The building renovation and interior design will house a two storey office space.
